Love Island’s Molly-Mae set to switch on Leyland’s Christmas lights

Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague is set to switch on Leyland’s Christmas lights this year.

The annual Christmas festival is set to on Hough Lane on Saturday, November 23 from 1pm.

There will be fun fair rides, food kiosks, Santa’s Grotto and live music on the main stage all afternoon.

Molly-Mae will officially switch the lights on at 5.30pm.

The 20-year-old shot to fame after coming second on the ITV dating show with her boyfriend, Tommy Fury.

Since leaving the famous villa, Molly-Mae has become a brand ambassador for Pretty Little Thing, and has launched her own clothing line with the brand.

She was also spotted enjoying the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, along with Tommy, last month.

The pair were spotted walking around in waterproof ponchos and eating freshly made donuts.

Making the festive announcement, South Ribble Borough Council said: “Molly-Mae Hague. Introducing your Leyland Christmas Festival headliner…

“…We are thrilled to have you attending the Leyland Christmas Festival Molly-Mae!

“See you on Saturday 23 November.”

While the Christmas festival is underway, the whole of Hough Lane will be closed off to traffic.

Tommy and Molly starred on series five of  ITV’s Love Island.

They came second place, behind Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea who won the £50,000 prize.
